WHAT’S HAPPENING? France is bankrupt, royal coffers completley drained by the recent unending wars and this horrible ruler, Louis XVI. Theres a lot of re- sentment and anger towards our tax farmer , who have to export the money mercilessly from our own population. There isnt much food. “Let them eat cake”. Thanks, Marie. What is she thinking? We need food. Whats there to do ? The battle has happened, thanks to the cake . (Battle of Bastille). Angry attacks on churches and conscriptions rebelling as this revolution is increasing . Battle after battle. Its going to have to end.. Thanks to the army and general Naploean Bonaparte, by the new constituition, lets us the people have three consuls rule france in- stead of one leader. Napolean is the first consul. While the reform of france continues . Napolean has managed to bring the revoultionary wars to close. He has decided to call himself consul for life, and he is going to crown himself emperor.
